My earliest school friend and I was honoured to be the best man at his and Berni's wedding. A gentle, uncomplaining man. Quietly a bit bonkers in his own (good) way and always wanting to see the funny side in anything. Turns out, HE was the Best Man
One of the kindest and most genuine people you could ever meet. I think Andy would have been amazed at how far his influence spread and the positive impact he had on everyone who met him.
Such a friendly and upbeat guy, always laughing. Generous with his time and one of my first football managers, fond memories of a great man x
I had the pleasure to meet Andy last year while delivering our cancer online course. He was inspirational, emphatic and supportive to those people who also were part of our group. A truly lovely man.
A lovely man who was always positive and upbeat, even during his final illness. A much-missed personal and work friend who could lift your spirits in seconds. What a sad loss.
Was an absolute pleasure to know Andy, dear friend and wonderful neighbour who wouldn't hesitate to help me with any odd jobs needing doing. Always looked on the positive side of life. Will be sadly missed.
A true gentleman. Our weather man who always had an explanation for the weather with a bit of wit thrown in. A joy to be around and share lunch dates. Will be missed xxx
Whatever Andy felt like over the last three and a half years living with cancer, he never complained, we made some beautiful memories, and it’s now time for him to rest and for me to say Goodbye 💔
Thank you for setting up this memorial to Andy. We hope that you find it a positive experience developing the site and that it becomes a place of comfort and inspiration for you to visit whenever you want or need to.
I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
